What do you do as a WMS Trainee?

As a WMS Trainee you are going to do a traineeship to become a WMS consultant. The traineeship is a full year and in that period of time you go through this program:

1st month:
Intro + basics training in our WMS system Reflex. Also you are going to learn from our operatives who work with Reflex. From orderpicker to Wave release.

Month 2 and 3:
Learn from an experienced key user within reflex to get a sense of what happens on the floor as well. You will see different sites within XPO.

Month 4 and 5:
Advanced training in Reflex combined with learning from an Application Support Engineer.

Month 6 untill 12:
Final internship with a WMS consultant in a project from start to finish. Start and end date depend on the size of the project.

After month 12:
Working as a WMS Consultant. And as of that date also payed as one.

As a WMS consultant you will be working in one of the largest supply chain organizations in the world. You are involved in WMS projects/changes for a wide range of international customers on a daily basis. The function focuses on collecting business requirements and translating them into an optimal IT solution. You will also be responsible for testing, implementing, supporting and providing training on the WMS system. For larger projects you will work together with your (IT) colleagues. For small projects/changes, you mainly work together with the XPO operation.

Job Requirements:

• HBO/WO working and thinking level, or excellent knowledge of WMS systems through working experience
• Knowledge of drafting functional specifications
• Knowledge of logistics warehouse processes, preferably in a 3PL environment
• Excellent knowledge of the Dutch and English languages in words and in writing
• Flexible and willing to travel within BENEGE region (Belgium, Netherlands, Germany)

Your work environment:

You will work in the IT department, where IT is provided for all XPO sites in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. You will be part of a team that deals with IT projects and changes for existing and new XPO business. You report to the Manager Business IT Solutions.
